Privacy Policy

This page describes what happens when you visit wavefieldstudio.com: what the site collects, what we do with it, and who else sees it.
If you are looking for how we handle data inside a client engagement, that is a different document. It lives in the services agreement we sign with you, and it is considerably more detailed than this page.
The short version
We do not track you. This site sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics, and carries no advertising or social tracking pixels. Every page except the booking page loads entirely from our own servers and makes no outside requests at all. If you book a call, you give your details to our scheduling provider so we can meet you, and we use them to hold that meeting and follow up. That is the whole of it.
What we collect
When you browse. Nothing that identifies you. We do not set cookies, we do not run analytics, and we do not build a profile of your visit. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, automatically records standard server information such as IP addresses and request details in order to serve the site and protect it from attack. We do not use those records to identify you or to market to you.
When you book a consultation. Our booking page uses an embedded scheduler operated by Cal.com. When you open that page, your browser loads the scheduler from Cal.com, which means Cal.com receives your IP address and basic browser information at that point, before you enter anything. If you go on to book, you provide your name and email address, and any other details the booking form asks for, such as a phone number or a note about your business. Cal.com processes that booking on our behalf and passes it to us, and the meeting is placed on our calendar and given a video link. Cal.com handles that information under its own privacy terms.
When you email us or reply to us. We receive whatever you choose to send, including your name, email address, and anything in the message or attached to it. Our email and calendar run on Google Workspace.
We do not buy personal information about you from data brokers to market to you, and we do not ask this website to collect anything beyond what is described above.
What we do with it
We use what you give us to answer you, to hold the consultation you booked, to follow up on that conversation, and to keep our own business records of who we have talked to. That is the complete list of purposes.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we do not rent, trade, or otherwise hand it to anyone for their own marketing.
We do not use anything you send through this site to train artificial-intelligence models. Not our own, and not anyone else's.
Who else sees it
Only the providers we need to run the business, and only so they can do that job:
- Cloudflare, which hosts and serves this site.
- Cal.com, which runs the consultation booking.
- Google Workspace, which runs our email, calendar, and video meetings.
Each of those operates under its own terms and its own privacy commitments. Beyond them, we disclose personal information only where the law requires it, where it is needed to establish or defend a legal claim, or to a successor if the business is ever sold, in which case this page's commitments travel with the information.
How long we keep it
Server records held by our hosting provider follow that provider's own retention. Booking details and correspondence we keep for as long as we are talking with you and afterwards for as long as we have a reasonable business or legal reason to, then we delete them. If you ask us to delete what we hold about you, we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Your choices
Whatever state or country you are in, you can email us and ask what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will answer you and do it. We keep almost nothing, so this is usually a short conversation.
That offer is not conditioned on which state or country you live in, and you do not need to invoke a statute to use it.
Do Not Track. There is no tracking here to turn off, so a Do Not Track signal changes nothing about how this site behaves.
Marketing email. We do not run a marketing mailing list from this site. If that ever changes, every message will carry a working unsubscribe link and we will honour it.
Where this site is directed
This site is aimed at businesses in the United States. We do not target it at people in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, and we do not offer goods or services to them through it.
Children
This site is for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
We protect what we hold with measures appropriate to how little of it there is and how sensitive it is. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. This site is built to collect as little as possible, which is the only security measure that never fails.
If we add analytics later
We may one day add privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful. If we do, we will update this page before or when we turn it on, and we will say what the tool is and what it records. We are not going to add advertising trackers or third-party marketing pixels to this site.
Changes to this page
If we change how any of this works, we change this page, and we move the date at the top. Material changes will be obvious rather than buried.
